Schedules & holidays
Create work schedules, assign them to staff, and manage holidays and special working days.
Work schedules
A schedule defines the working days, start/end times, and the late grace period (minutes allowed after the start time before someone counts as late). Create them under Schedules — for example "Day Shift, Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00, 15 min grace" or a graveyard shift that crosses midnight (fully supported).
Assigning & overrides
- Assign a schedule to each employee (also possible right on the employee form, or via import). Attendance is only judged — late, absent — on days covered by an assigned schedule.
- One-day overrides — give a person different hours for a single date (e.g. a special event) without touching their regular schedule.
- Special working days — declare a company-wide working day with its own hours (e.g. a Saturday make-up day).
Holidays
Manage them under Holidays. Each holiday has a type that matters for payroll:
- Regular holiday — working on it earns the highest premium (default +100%).
- Special (non-working) day — a smaller premium (default +30%).
A holiday can be one-time (a specific date) or recurring (every year, like Christmas). On the attendance calendar, holidays never count as absences; if someone punches in on one, their hours are recorded and holiday pay is added on their payslip automatically.
💡 Set the holiday type correctly before running payroll — the premium rate follows the type.
